Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking an experienced Chief Compliance Officer to manage our corporate compliance program. This role will be responsible for managing global trade compliance, privacy, corporate ethics, and corporate investigations. In addition, the Chief Compliance Officer will work closely with other compliance functions within AMD (e.g., ESG, Information Security, EHS, etc.) to ensure a comprehensive compliance program. The position will report to AMD’s General Counsel.

THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of integrity and ability to navigate and communicate complex information in a clear, concise manner. This role requires a strong leader that excels at collaborating in a matrixed business environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic guidance, advice, and training regarding corporate compliance matters to the General Counsel and executive leadership team
  • Update our Board of Directors regarding AMD compliance programs and other matters
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of corporate compliance programs and manage training for AMD employees
  • Develop policies and programs that encourage all employees to comply with AMD internal policies and government regulations
  • Partner with government regulators and our internal Government Relations team on compliance issues; stay informed and provide input to developing regulations and legislation throughout the world
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit team for matters related to audits, reviews, and examinations
  • Coordinate internal compliance review and monitor activities
  • Investigate and resolve potential compliance program violations and other concerns, including those arising from governmental inquiries, third-party payor audits, and/or compliance action line reports

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in corporate compliance role, preferably with a semiconductor or high-tech company
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry best compliance practices
  • Expertise implementing a compliance program, to include drafting compliance policies, training, auditing, monitoring, and conducting investigations

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Law degree and bar admission in the United States is preferred
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCEP) is a plus

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
