Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Chief Nursing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the nursing practice in an adolescent psychiatric setting. Ideally this candidate will also have experience with electronic billing and revenue cycle management. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent clinical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for nursing practice in an adolescent psychiatric setting.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and other governing organizations.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, socials workers, technicians, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to patients
  • Review and submit claims for psychiatric services to insurance carriers using the UB-04 form and follow up on unpaid claims
  • Stay up-to-date on changes to billing and coding regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage the nursing budget and resources to ensure effective use of staffing and equipment
  • Interview, train, and evaluate nursing staff
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Requirements:

  • · Master's degree and five years experience in Psychiatric Nursing or related field required
  • · Current RN license in MA and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (PMHN) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required
  • · Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and administration
  • · Understanding of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards, including experience with the UB-04 billing form
  • · Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • · Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and programs
  • · Proven track record of achieving results and improving patient care

Summary:

  • · Pay - $125-135,000/year
  • · Hours – 8am – 5pm (Mon-Fri)NO Nights/Weekends!
  • · Location – Waltham, MA (on-site)
  • · Qualifications – MA Licensed RN with a Masters in Psychiatric Nursing (PMHN or PMHNP)

  • · Patient Ages – 12-18 years old
  • · Typical Diagnoses – Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, ADHD, Life Transition, Trauma (no psychosis, schizophrenia, or other major personality disorders)
