Chief Operations Officer Position Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer ("COO") will provide day-to-day strategic leadership and operational management over the business. They will have P&L responsibility and partner with the CEO and Board on the strategic roadmap to drive metrics and financial measures and improve human capital and systems/processes to optimize performance. Simultaneously, they must anticipate and address ways to continuously drive EBITDA growth and mitigate potential business challenges, whether operational or strategic.
The COO will have an outstanding track record of leading multi-site healthcare services businesses, focusing on operational excellence, quality of care, financial growth, customer experience, and maintaining a positive, professional culture. The Company is strategically positioned to expand across several behavioral health platforms, creating synergies and economies of scale. The COO will play a critical role in helping to shape and guide the ongoing growth and development of the organization, with opportunities for increased scope of responsibilities over time. To include establishing standardized operating processes and metrics and managing the integration of acquired partnerships.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership across all PMC Divisions, P&L management over the business, and a strategic vision for near- and long-term value creation.
- Drive EBITDA growth by creating efficiencies and motivation through a metrics system and developing a culture of accountability.
- Act as an on-ground leader, frequently visiting facilities and healthcare partners to ensure efficiency and quality in operational performance.
- Recruit, develop, and retain key talent through coaching, training, and leadership development.
- Enhance communication internally to establish ongoing feedback, identify new growth and expansion opportunities, and pursue opportunities to realize economies of scale.
- Understands and has experience with managing multi-site operations
- Developing processes and systems to ensure PMC provides the best customer relationship with each of our 250 hospital partners.
- Highly comfortable with customer service. Has put tailored systems in place to ensure continued and progressing relationships. For our Company, this would be with each of our contract "owners" (CEOs of hospitals, Regions, etc.)
- Servant leadership with employees.
- Behavioral health experience or knowledge is required.
- Commercial insurance knowledge to aid in negotiating new contracts or terms and a good understanding of commercial insurance measurement tools.
- Willing to travel to have relationship connectivity in key locations.
- General knowledge of IT software/EMR systems.
- Excellent relationship/management capability with Providers/MDs/NPs.

Education
- Education: Bachelor's degree required
- A Master's degree is highly preferred
Experience:
- The successful candidate will be an experienced and respected behavioral healthcare executive. In addition, they will have a proven track record of growing a profitable multi-site behavioral healthcare business within a private equity environment.
