Job description
Primary Tasks:
You will manage staff coverage during operating hours of the center; fill in for absent teachers.
Communicate staff performance expectations and procedures to provide a caring and service-oriented environment for the children.
Maintain child safety during all child-directed activities in the center, and child safety on the playground.
Manage medication permission forms and administer medication to children.
You will collaborate with the kitchen supervisor to ensure nutrition is being provided.
Oversee staff and volunteers, welcome visitors to center, parent teacher conferences, and coordinate safety drills.
Ensure monthly reports are completed and promptly and submitted to the appropriate persons.
Conduct developmental and health screenings, observe, monitor and document the children’s progress and health in different required domains, locate resources/referrals to support children and families.
Mentor all staff members.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Associate degree in Education or related field.
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and manage time.
Ability to work independently with minimum follow-up.
Oral and written communicate skills.
2 years Supervisory experience
3 year’s early childhood experience
