Position: Associate of Children’s Ministry

Reports to: Kelli Garbett, Director of Children and their Families

Kacy Depenbrock, Director – Brownson Learning Center

Work Schedule: Part time, 12-15 hours per week; hourly non-exempt position

The Associate of Children’s Ministry will play an integral role in two specific areas, the Children’s programs at Brownson

Church and the Brownson Learning Center. We seek an organized, energetic individual who loves children by helping them and their families grow in their faith. This position will focus on preschool age children birth to kindergarten with some overlap in the area of K-5.

Proposed job description:

  • Work alongside Director of Children to divide responsibilities for ministry to children at Brownson Church from

Birth – 5th Grade (divided into B-PreK, K-5)

  • Work alongside Director of the BLC in an assistant capacity, focusing on opportunities for growth.
  • Think creatively and implement additional opportunities for ministry to families of those with young children

(birth to kindergarten)

  • Create and implement additional opportunities for church participation for BLC students and families
  • Co-coordinate seasonal programs such as VBS and Sunday evening/midweek activities
  • Participate in weekday children’s programming
  • Participate in recruitment of volunteer team
  • Assist with creative ways to engage the church in children’s ministry
  • Serve as a part of the Invest in the Next Ministry Team and attend month staff meetings

Rate of Pay: $20/hour
