POSITION: Children’s Programs & Volunteer Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Museum
This job is Part Time 28 hours a week without Benefits. Will work set days and hours. Will work the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementing the museum’s children’s programs.
- Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the museum’s volunteer program including one to two volunteer thank you events each year.
- Once a month do museum visitor tracking, volunteering tracking, sign in sheet emails for Mailer Lite.
- Responsible for pricing items for store with photos in Square and store vendor data base. We normally order inventory once every two or three months.
- Assist with operations, opening and closing of the building, interaction with visitors, visitor tracking, and school groups when needed.
- Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as answering the phone, ringing up store sales, preparing correspondence, running errands, picking up supplies needed for activities, and helping set up tables and chairs or other materials for events, classes, etc.
- Performs related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work a variety of hours during the week and on weekends.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, History, Museum Studies, or Related Field
