City of Eldridge, Iowa is a growing and thriving small town in eastern Iowa with 6,700 residents. Located close to the Mississippi river at the junction of US Highway 61 and Interstate 80. Eldridge provides a small town feel for our residents but is close to big-city amenities being adjacent to a larger four city metropolitan area.

The City Administrator directly oversees the following municipal departments: city hall, wastewater, streets, parks & recreation, police, code enforcement, zoning, and finance, which includes 33 full time and 76 part time employees and the current annual operating budget (less transfers) of $17.1 million.

The city administrator is also responsible for supervision of contracts, oversight of city property, oversight of capital improvement projects, and keeping the five-member city council and mayor fully advised of the city’s financial condition and overall future needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $119,000.00 per year
