We currently have an opportunity for a Civil Construction Inspector to join our team in Evansville, IN. The selected candidate will provide construction inspection services for civil infrastructure projects (road improvements and utility replacements) around SW Indiana.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides construction phase services on INDOT, LPA, and/or other municipal projects throughout southern Indiana.
• Reads and interprets construction plans and documents, computes quantities and verifies measurements and layouts.
• Perform material sampling and testing as required.
• Maintains detailed daily logs, and submits memos and documentation as required.
• Collaborates with other construction and design staff as needed.
• Works productively with all project stakeholders to resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or GED is required; A.S. degree in Construction Technology or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience inspecting civil infrastructure improvements (roads, bridges and underground utilities) is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents, compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed daily logs and prepare timely project reports.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work productively with all project stakeholders.
• INDOT Certified Technician and SiteManager is preferred; Surveying experience is desirable.
• Valid Driver’s License - Must be able to travel to project sites and work extended hours as needed.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, lifting, climbing, etc. as required.
