Class B CDL Driver- Safford Builders Supply ACE Hardware

Safford Builders Supply is a well-established part of the community servicing local contractors, businesses, and home owners since 1938.

Expectations and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Strong, positive customer service, verbal and written communication skills
• Must pass DOT physical, pulmonary function test, and drug screening
• Drive Safford Builders Supply delivery vehicle to vendors, customers and job sites
• Move product by hand or using equipment in a safe manner: loading and unloading, ensuring load is stacked, padded and properly secured
• Will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, possibly up to 100 lbs. occasionally
• Maintain general cleanliness in vehicle and assigned area such as warehouse and lumberyard
• When not delivering, this position will be expected to perform additional responsibilities such as assisting in store operation and other areas as assigned
• Occasional extra hours/days when extra help is needed

Qualifications and requirements:

• Valid Cass B CDL driver’s license with clean driving record- at least 2 years required
• Forklift experience
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, climbing and lifting
• Ability to perform and understand basic mathematical concepts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage and fractions
• Ability to read instructions, policies, procedures and complete forms either in writing or using a computer
• Pre-employment drug testing required- drug free workplace
