SCOPE OF POSITION
The Classroom Teacher’s purpose is to initiate and implement activities geared to the developmental needs of the particular group of children, and to channel productively the interest and energies of these children. The Teacher will be aware of and attend to the needs of individual children. The Teacher shall plan and implement the curriculum for his/her particular classroom. In addition, the Teacher shall assess and record each child’s progress and report that progress to Director and to parents. The Teacher will train and direct the efforts of teacher aides. The Teacher will develop and actively maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and safe classroom environment.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Any combination of training/experience that will allow the caregiver to perform the above requirements. Must possess a clear, working understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practice of Early Childhood. Must possess an understanding that HospiTOTS staff must have knowledge and understanding of hospital policies and procedures. Incumbent must be 18 years of age or older.
BLS certification required
