GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Assists the Associate Dean/Director of Admissions and other Admissions personnel with Admissions Welcome Center reception and clerical duties associated with on-campus visit programs.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Supervises student employee personnel assigned to the area at the discretion of the Associate Director
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports directly to the Associate Director of Admissions and indirectly to the Associate Dean/Director of Admissions.
EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the Admissions Welcome Center Receptionist
- Coordinates all clerical duties relating to on-campus visit programing (e.g., answering the phone/email, welcoming walk-ins, issuing parking passes, scheduling appointments, sending confirmation materials, reserving rooms, coordinating AV needs, supervising student work staff)
- Manages Admissions email account (admissions@framingham.edu)
- Manages the Admissions main telephone extension 4500
- Manages the Admissions recruitment materials
- Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned.
- Actively contributes to deliver a working environment that promotes optimism, collaboration, respect, solutions conscious dialogue, and exceptional service to everyone.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed on-site in the Admissions Welcome Center. Office environment, prolonged periods of time spent sitting and/or standing, frequent work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer and telephone use at workstation throughout shift. Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjustment work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours. Public contact position requiring appropriate business-like apparel.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office work, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A diploma as evidence of graduation from the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
II. A diploma as evidence of graduation from a course other than the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school or possession of a Massachusetts high school equivalency certificate may be substituted for a maximum of eight months of the required experience.*
III. A diploma for completion of a one-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized, non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
IV. A diploma for completion of a two-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized, non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.*
- Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
NOTE: Educational substitutions will only be permitted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.

Additional Information:
This is a full-time, non-exempt, benefits-eligible position in the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) bargaining unit with a title of (Clerk IV). The bi-weekly pay rate is $1,667.36 (grade 13, step 1).
