Golden Steps ABA is dedicated to hiring highly qualified, compassionate RBT’s for our Marietta Clinic in the state of Georgia to provide the highest standard of care to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and comorbid diagnoses. At Golden Steps, you will receive intensive, experience-based training from RBTs trainers (BCBA Residency Supervisees), Case Supervisors (BCBAs), and the Clinic Director. The RBT training process is highly individualized to the RBT and is proficiency based, not time-based. We work with you and support you so that you can achieve all your individual career goals.
The RBT Fellowship position is for first year graduate level students in a verified course sequence (VCS) who seek intensive, experience-based training under the supervision of veteran behavior analysts (5+ years). Additionally, Residents receive a supervision contract and receive a minimum of 2 hours per week of supervision and are offered unrestricted hours and learning opportunities towards the 60% unrestricted requirement assisting case supervisors with data audits, target/goal updates, learning to systematically train new professionals in the field, parent trainings, conducting client assessments/reassessments and completing report writing. Golden Steps ABA does not pay for unrestricted hours that are within direct, billed sessions; however, hours are factored into your daily clinic schedule in addition to your billed hours. We are highly flexible to ensure you have a working schedule in addition to your unrestricted hours.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming one-on-one with a client.
- Implementation of client’s Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Daily in-vivo training and collaboration with colleagues and case supervisors (BCBAs).
- Accurate collection of skill acquisition and behavior data in Central Reach.
- Complete progress notes at the end of each therapy session.
- Operate under the BCBA Code of Ethics as a Supervisee and Behavior Analyst in training.
- Track supervision hours daily in tracker.
- Turn Monthly Supervision Sheets into Clinical Director promptly each month for signing.
- Available weekly for unrestricted workshops, group sessions, etc.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Unrestricted Learning Opportunities:
- Foundational Literature and Video Workshops
- Developmental Psychology and Multiple & Severe Disabilities Workshops
- Parallel Supervision to learn to train RBTs and caregivers.
- Complete Mock Assessments and Mock Initial and Concurrent Reviews prior to in vivo trainings with new clients.
- Complete readings on new pedagogy taught in vivo.
- Participate in Case Conceptualization meetings with cases supervisors and clinical director.
- Watch programming videos and training videos.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Great writing and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to adhere to a background check.
- Strong organizational and time management skills along with ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Receptive and open to feedback and new pedagogy for the benefit of the client.
- Must be collaborative, compassionate, and driven.
- Intellectually curious and driven to learn new instructional techniques.
Education:
- First year graduate student in a verified course sequence (VCS) for 5th edition BACB Task List.
