POSITION SUMMARY: This professional position follows industry best practices in software design and coding to produce innovative, high quality solutions for a variety of clinical application and data problems. Gathers information from users, defines work problems, develops, tests and deploys software applications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related scientific field plus five years relevant NextGen and other clinical application experience; OR a combination of relevant education and experience totaling nine years may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Experience with SQL, HL7 2x file format (both ADT and clinical messages), CC and C-Cda document exchange, Microsoft Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools.

• Experience within Healthcare or IT industry.

• Experience with web-based design, program deployment (.Net, PHP), relational databases (MYSQL, SQLServer, DB/2, Oracle, etc.), as well as database design and management.

• Extensive experience with managing data in clinical environments; including the extraction, inter-operation/transfer and presentation within reporting structures.

• Experience with raw clinical data in many different file formats, interface engine workflow, data transformation and software development life cycle. Experience with GoAnywhere is a plus.

• Strong analysis and development capabilities; must be able to demonstrate the ability to independently write interface specifications, test plans and documentation.

• Experience with HIPAA and HITECH requirements, data security, privacy and loss prevention.
