ABOUT SOUTH DAKOTA URBAN INDIAN HEALTH

South Dakota Urban Indian Health (SDUIH) is an Urban Indian Health Clinic funded through a contract with Indian Health Service (IHS). We operate two full-time medical/behavioral/cultural health clinics in South Dakota, one located in Pierre and one located in Sioux Falls.

At SDUIH we take pride in our model of care where patients have a direct relationship with their provider, who coordinates a cooperative team of healthcare professionals, takes collective responsibility for the care provided to the patient and arranges for appropriate care with other qualified providers as needed.

Clinical Manager

The clinical manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinic. They will create and manage nursing schedules. The clinical manager needs a background in healthcare-they may previously have worked as a nurse, doctor, or other type of clinician. As such, they often have a deep understanding of how to best provide quality care to patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, health administration, or other relevant field.
• Three-five years' experience in a health care setting.
• Established work with the Native communities in Sioux Falls and/or Pierre.
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
• Pass a federal background check. Must not have any felony convictions as related to the Indian Child Welfare Act.
• Provide Indian Preference documentation if claimed.
• Must be vaccinated against or willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Must be CPR certified or willing to obtain CPR certifications within 6 months of employment.
