LifeStart Village Full-time Clinician

Position Description:

We are looking for a full-time clinician to provide individual, family, and group therapy to Phase 1 and Phase II Lifestart Village clients, working collaboratively with the clinical team of the Family Support Center and the Lifestart Village team.

We are looking for a charismatic person—someone able to make strong connections that the community can trust. We are seeking someone who can provide vision, and through parallel leadership, lead the FSC into the next phase of growth.

About the FSC

The FSC is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1977, that supports families in Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele Counties. The FSC recognizes the strengths inherent in every family and strives to build up the six protective factors (that have been shown to increase family stability and reduce child abuse and neglect) through our services. We adhere to the Standards of Quality put forth by the National Family Support Network.

Location of Work:

LifeStart Village and The Family Support Center Taylorsville location (1760 W 4805 S Salt Lake City, UT)

Requirements:

  • Department of Human Services Background Check (Fingerprints required)
  • CPR & First Aid Certification (To take upon hired)
  • TB Test (To take upon hired)
  • Willing to work evening hours between 5 pm-8 pm

Duties:

  • Perform individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Engage clients of program in group therapy in topics including but not limited to conflict/relationship groups, domestic violence psychoeducation groups, healthy relationship groups
  • Perform mental health assessments; develop diagnosis, treatment plans and treatment reviews.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Coordinate cases with other agencies, providing appropriate referrals when necessary
  • Maintain clinical records and statistical measurements as determined by Clinical Director. Prepare reports as requested.
  • Ensures client confidentiality
  • Prepare written clients reports as requested by contracted agencies such as DCFS.
  • Participate in staff meetings with clinical team and in-service training programs as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings with Lifestart Village team as required
  • Participate in 1:1 supervision with clinical director and Lifestart Village director
  • Meet all continuing education or other requirements necessary to maintain a good professional standing.
  • Adhere to all standards, ethics, and professional practice established by the clinician’s professional discipline.
  • Full-time clinical caseload assures a minimum of 24 face-to-face client contacts per week.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, social work, or related field
  • Current Utah License as CMHC, ACMHC, LSCW, LISW, LMFT, AMFT, or Psychologist
  • Experience working with populations experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and substance use
  • Must enjoy working with children

  • Flexibility: A qualified candidate has flexibility in their hours and also learning as this is a new position at the agency

  • Analytical and Technical: Ability to create documents and analyze data spreadsheets. Solid computer skills. Give oral and written presentations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,600.00 per year
