Clinician
Lincoln Street Inc. is an innovative private nonprofit agency providing high quality personalized services to people with intellectual disabilities and their families for over 40 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Clinician, as our program is growing. Educational Requirements: Masters Degree in Psychology, licensed MSW or license eligible professional, including new Masters graduates.
Skills and abilities to successfully perform this job:
· Clinical expertise and experience in providing accurate diagnoses and best practice supports.
· Experience serving people with autism and intellectual disability desired but not required
· Demonstrates sound leadership skills supporting teams serving individuals with complex needs
· Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement when making decisions
· Great communication and interpersonal skills working with individuals, families and teams
· Understands and provides appropriate clinical documentation according to agency standards and regulations
· Approaches difficult situations with a calm professional manner
· Responsible for identifying and addressing the clinical and skill development needs of individuals served
· Woks closely with individuals families, guardians, and teams in consultive role
· Provides individual and group interventions
· Works with teams to create positive behavioral support plans and other clinical approaches
· Provides or co facilitates skills training to individuals on Dialectical Behavior Therapy men’s and women’s support groups, sexuality and social skills education or other helpful group skill base supports
· Supports the agency intake functions to assure organization has tools and skills to successfully serve potential referrals prior to commitment to serve
· Develops effective support strategies for a wide variety of individual needs and diagnoses
· Crisis liaison to crisis beds, liaison to Designated agency or ER crisis screening teams
· Direct crisis intervention
Required:
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
