Opened in 1986, New Horizons Village is a welcoming apartment complex, offering adults with physical disabilities the opportunity for self-directed living. We are located on 26 picturesque acres in a quiet residential neighborhood in the Farmington Valley, the Village is just twenty minutes southwest of Hartford.
We are seeking compassionate full-time Village Care Attendants.
This is a 32 hour/week benefits-eligible position. Sunday - Wednesday - third shift (11PM to 7AM) (Eligible for shift premium)
Pay - $16+ per hour depending on experience/certification.
For this position, candidates must be fully vaccinated (including booster) for COVID-19.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing essential personal care assistance to tenants with physical disabilities in the absence of their Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and in cases of unanticipated needs or emergencies.
- Recordkeeping for all calls that are responded to.
- Carrying out facility emergency procedures, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with responsible care-giving skills in Human Services Field. (CNA or HHA preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification required (or must be obtained within first 6 months of employment). We provide on-site training!
- Ability to keep tenant information confidential at all times.
- Team oriented with good communication skills.
- Dependable and reliable.
