Job description

We are job shop with AS9100/ISO9001 Certification currently looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run our lathe department. The ideal candidate will be able to setup, inspect, and monitor CNC lathe jobs. You will also be operating Mills, however setup experience is not required. Should be able to inspect own first article and setup a machine and have the job ready to hand off to an operator. Inspection reports and travelers are required for all jobs. Most jobs are made from 6061 Alum, Mild Steel and plastics. Our lathe department currently consists of 4 lathes and 4 different controls, they are all Fanuc Based G-code, controls are Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Haas and Tormach. Chuck sizes range from 6" to 10". We are a growing company and this is a great opportunity for the right person.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Lathe department and lathe Operators.
• Able to determine materials / tools that need to be ordered for upcoming jobs.
• Able to schedule jobs.
• Able to setup and complete first articles.
• Able to handle many different tasks at one time.
• Able to work in a noisy environment.
• Able to work with a team.
• Able to lift heavy objects.
• Lathe setup and operations
• Dual Spindle lathe experience a plus.
• Live tooling experience a plus.
• Mill experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
