Job Summary
Under the direction of the Head Coach, serve as the Running Backs Coach and assist the Head Coach in all duties assigned relative to an NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) program. Assist with all aspects of coaching and team management. Assist in the conduct of pre-season, regular season and permissible out of season practices and training programs. Travel to away games and teaches those strategies that are related to football at the collegiate level of competition. Assist with the recruitment of prospective students for participation in intercollegiate athletic program.

- Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination.
- Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified bi-annually.
- Must pass the Recruiting Certification Test per NCAA bylaw 12.1.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
- Experience in the sport of football.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
- Knowledge of the rules and playing strategies of football. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.
- Skills to express ideas clearly, concisely, and logically, both verbally and in writing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Experience as a running backs coach.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures. Knowledge of campus, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
