Robert Half is partnering with a growing company in the business technology industry who is in need of several Accounts Receivable/Collections representatives. This long-term contract / temporary Collections Specialist position is available in the Middletown, Connecticut area. - Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
- Manage inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
- Abide by all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Record all customer payments to the correct reports
- Guarantee payments are processed
- Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity
- Administer all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines
- Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
- Previous experience using accounting software
- Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
- Be able to effectively analyze and make decisions on customer accounts
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
- Collecting Payments experience preferred
