Summary
The role of Community Council Manager coordinates and supports the organization’s deployment of the methodologies, systems and structures for improvement and change that will enable the organization to achieve its strategic and operational goals. This individual will support and participate in the facilitation all activities Board of Director’s community outreach initiative known as Community Councils. The manager will be the liaison between the Community Council and Board of Directors. The Community Council Manager will build, maintain, and facilitate relationships and networks to support community transformation. This position will work closely with a variety of departments at MHM, serving as a resource during the development, implementation and sustainability of the community councils.
Essential Duties
- Facilitate Community Council events such orientation, meetings, and any other related events.
- Design and implement the portfolio of processes required for the development, management, and execution of regional Community Councils.
- Work collaboratively with regional team members to promote the Community Councils in the regions and actively seek members.
- Participate/lead in the facilitation of team project charter development and improvement approach selection.
- Prepares presentations for Board of Directors on identified opportunities from the Community Councils.
- Be proactive in the ongoing development and maintenance of the designated project management system/technology. Create, organize and maintain project/program documentation/materials according to organizational asset management systems and processes.
- Develop or assist in the development of presentations and/or reports to promote data driven decision-making throughout the organization, including but not limited to the periodic collection of key performance indicator (KPI) data and reporting.
- Utilize standardized MHM project management and communications systems to track project team progress and communicate status throughout all phases of planning and execution.
- Serve as a key regional point of contact between Community Councils and MHM
- Promote organizational excellence through the implementation and execution of organizational process improvement (PI) and process-based management (PBM) techniques and methodologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience
High School diploma/GED required Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance improvement, project management, healthcare quality or other related field, during which critical thinking and time-management skills have been demonstrated, is required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Completion of MHM-designated Performance Excellence Facilitator Training, Change Acceleration Program training and Six Sigma Green Belt training/certification within 18 months of employment is required.
Language Skills:
Strong verbal, organizational and written communication skills. Must be able to speak effectively and respond to questions before groups of customers, community members, leaders, or employees of an organization (diverse audiences). Must be fluent in English; Spanish bilingual is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to a medical office environment and may have limited direct contact with patients and clients. Position necessitates bending, stooping, twisting, turning, walking, climbing step stools, sitting and standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and maneuver 25 pounds.
Requires frequent in-town travel and periodic travel throughout the service area up to 75% of the time. May require some evening/weekend work.
