Spectra Tech is in immediate need of a Compliance Engineer for a position in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania.
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our team to support new and existing radiological facilities and the upgrade, repair, and maintenance of site infrastructure.
'-Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
-Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders during scoping, engineering, and troubleshooting.
-Apply detailed engineering solutions that touch upon the mechanical, radiological, structural, and environmental fields in order to improve upon existing operations;
-Creating work packages based on governing documents and training, researching facility operations and industry best practices; interacting with the operations team as the work package is implemented in the facility.
-Learn how to merge traditional engineering with radiological controls.
-Specific training will be provided to qualified individuals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Proven working experience in Radiological work
- Provide technical direction and support for the execution of radiological work
- Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Experience working on federal projects
- Ability to communicate project status to various internal and external parties
- Work collaboratively with project teams
Candidate must have or be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46.13 - $59.00 per hour
