Job Description:
LOCATION: US, Phoenix, AZ

This position is for an GCOS8 Computer Operator / Engineer II in an operations support group. The operations support group currently requires 9 individuals with in-depth technical skills in GCOS8 production of multiple computer systems, including related hardware such as the Virtuo Media Library. This position replaces one of the nine Operators. There are (3) operators per shift. These are eight hour shifts covering 24 X 7; 365 days. There are three different work weeks per shift. (Monday – Friday / Saturday and Sunday off); (Thursday – Monday / Tuesday and Wednesday off); Saturday – Wednesday / Thursday and Friday off). No travel is expected. The job covers 3rd shift 23:30 - 07:30.

Job Requirements

GCOS8 operator must have a minimum 3+ years of computer operations experience within a production environment.

The computer operator will be required to have a good working knowledge of the customers job flow, setting up jobs and removing/running them from the scheduler with a good understanding of job dependencies.

Production experience, including (removing and entering) of tape media from the media library for off-site storage at Iron Mountain.

Monitor both Physical Security and the Environmental Security with-in the Phoenix Data Center for alarms as per the site procedures.

Must have good written and verbal skills for turnover.
