RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.
ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world’s premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.
Background Information:
This full-time Configuration Management (CM) position is in support of the Guardian project and is a critical part of Guardian’s certification process. The position provides support in the areas of Configuration Management, including inventory control, proof-reading and editing of technical documentation, software testing, and other general administrative support as required. Performance of these duties will be provided in support of the Range Display System (RDS) product teams, including the Range Computation and Control System (RCCS), SureTrack in Government (STING), the Range Data Distribution System (RDDS), EDGE toolkit, and the Guardian Ground Based Detect and Avoid (GBDAA) system.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plans and executes CM throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security
Oversees the daily management of configuration items
Reviews and updates CM processes
Ensures that Information Technology (IT) staff members follow CM processes
Edits, standardizes, or modifies documentation prepared by other Atlantic Test Range (ATR) personnel to ensure conformation with CM requirements
Reviews and edits material for System Engineering documentation, reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, user manuals, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods, system, and software requirements, design documents, installation and operating procedures, and team user manuals
Performs inventory control, including entering all tracked hardware into the inventory control database and oversees updates to the database as reported by system custodians
Performs annual inventory of controlled items to ensure accuracy of data
Attends meeting and records all issues and Action Items

Education, Experience, Skills, & Certification Requirements:
AS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Technology from an accredited program
In lieu of an AS Degree, successful completion of technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school in computer programming, configuration management operations, or computer systems management
Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing the stated or similar function. In lieu of an AS or successfully completion of technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and a total of five (5) years of experience performing the stated function is required
Experience with configuration management tools and databases is required
Experience with editing and/or writing technical documentation requiring strong writing and grammatical skills is required
Must be proficient with Microsoft’s Office tools, including Word and Excel, and experience with MS Teams is preferred
Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Drug Screening
Security Clearance(required):
Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Department of Defense Secret Security clearance throughout employment, which requires United States citizenship

Work Conditions:
Conditions will vary. Most work is performed in enclosed building, but some outside work may be required. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Applicant should be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees.
