Job description

A Configuration Management Engineer job in Tukwila, WA is currently available at Belcan. This is a contract, full-time, on site position. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 5 year of experience in configuration / data / engineering change management. Experience in a military/aviation environment would be a plus.

• Job Responsibilities

o Performs development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products.
o Ensure proper implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards and processes (including EIA-649 and MIL-HDBK-61A)
o Integrate between and coordinate with engineering IPTs and functional stakeholders to execute consistent engineering change development, tracking, and documentation.
o Enable the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
o Assists with the development of new and innovative methodologies for management of complex products and processes

• Required Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience)
o 5+ years' experience with configuration / data / engineering change management concepts, requirements, processes, and metrics
o 5+ years of experience in a role requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
o Experience in a Military/Aviation engineering environment

• Preferred Qualifications

o Experience in a Data Management role creating, processing, and delivering data.
o Active Demonstrated Configuration Management experience utilizing product lifecycle management software (ENOVIA, CATIA, ETAC, REDARS, Windchill, CMPro, or similar tools)
o Experience with Microsoft SharePoint or Power Query
o Experience with Systems Engineering concepts and processes
o Experience with engineering document/drawing creation and/or release
