Project Description

TMG is managing construction on the NYCSCA Emergency Response Program and Management Services.

The Projects include and are not limited to: asbestos abatement, asbestos monitoring & testing, carpentry, operate cranes, special inspections, demolitions, electrical work, general roofing, hazardous materials remediation, plumbing, roofing/waterproofing, scaffolding and structural work.

Job Summary

This position reports to the Program Manager. Candidate will be responsible for scheduling the work, overseeing the construction, maintaining schedule, site safety, coordinating communication between the school and the contractor, close out of projects, including payments to contractors.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform and monitor inspections and quality control testing.
  • Maintain daily logs of construction and inspection activities
  • Monitor contractor schedules
  • Act as liaison between the client staff and the on-site construction management staff
  • Coordinates with the necessary entities to make sure environmental standard are met
  • Compute monthly estimates of work completed and review payment for contractor
  • Examine workmanship of completed construction for conformity to project specifications and applicable building/construction codes
  • Other duties may be assigned based on task assignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in the inspection and monitoring of construction projects or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings and shop drawings.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
