Brandsafway is looking for a dedicated Construction Manager for multiple scaffold, siding, and insulation projects in the North East.

Description of Construction Manager Essential Duties:

  • Supervise construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. An understanding of the construction business and the ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Concurrently manage multiple projects and crews including timesheets and safety paperwork.
  • Familiarity with materials and methods utilized within the glazing industry
  • Assisting with scheduling crews for each work day
  • Provide leadership to and manage the work activities of direct reports (directly) and other branch employees (indirectly). Develop and continuously monitor personal performance management plans.
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate Insulation, siding, scaffolding and other industrial construction activities to exceed customer expectations for the timely and effective construction of scaffolding systems and construction projects.
  • Manage scaffolding inventory to maximize production efficiency, revenue, and profit.
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate safety activities to promote safe work execution. Oversee safety related training. Comply with federal and provincial safety rules and oversee safety and occupational health related reporting.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and report contract operating performance data, communicating results to senior management, subordinate managers, and employees. Maintain accurate records relating to matters such as inventory, billed work, hours worked, services produced, and services purchased. Maintain accurate accounting records relating to project operations and report to senior management on a continuous basis.
  • Provide leadership to and manage the work activities of direct reports (directly) and other branch employees (indirectly). Develop and continuously monitor personal performance management plans.

Construction Manager Qualifications:

  • Requires education generally equivalent to a High School diploma. It is desirable for the applicant to have attained additional business-related education, such as an Associate's Degree in Business.
  • Requires reading and understanding of project Blueprints
  • Requires 5 -10 years of construction project management experience.
  • It is desirable for the applicant to have previous experience in the construction industry, particularly in the industrial construction environment.
  • Requires PC proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel.
  • Requires excellent oral and written, skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and personnel at other branch offices.
  • Requires strong leadership abilities to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks. This includes abilities that correspond to leadership, such as recruiting, selecting, training, motivating employees, and managing employee performance, developing, and executing strategic business plans, and developing and administering operating budgets.
  • Requires ability to process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions based on this data, and to effectively communicate the related required actions to customers and subordinate personnel.
  • Requires proficiency in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic business math.
  • Requires the ability to think critically and problem solve
  • Requires good organizational skills and good judgment in making decisions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
