Job description
Leader that is accountable for the success of the Warehouse/Shop operation. This leader will be tasked to manage and be responsible for the costs associated with safe, efficient, and productive operations of the Warehouse/Shop as it pertains the CSI project estimates, workload, and actual costs incurred by the projects. Adjustments in manpower and operating procedures will be the responsibility of this leader to assure operating costs are not exceeding income. Shop Cost Reports will be developed by upper management and Cost Manager to accurately view and project shop costs as they relate to shop income. This leader will be responsible for completion and upkeep of these reports once established.
The main goal is to provide a full-service f operation that is well maintained (and branded) in order to keep our crews working in the field and to reduce/eliminate inefficiencies (unnecessary costs) along the way. The project teams renting from our own company versus renting 3rd party should ultimately aid in the company’s bottom line and provide an advantage over our competition meanwhile maintaining a diverse fleet of equipment/tools. Ensure safe and timely delivery of our quality tools/equipment to our projects and keeping overall control of our assets. Oversee the asset management, tracking, maintenance, and accounting of our fleet. Aid in the company being an industry leader utilizing the latest technology to the best of our ability.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a Safe working environment and uphold the safety culture and core values
- Develop and follow a Business Plan
- Customer Service (lifeline of this operation)
- C.R.E.W. acronym promotes Teamwork
- Maintain client relationships (CSI, Clayco, etc) and be effective at resolving disputes
- Promote organization and structure to allow for accountability
- Manage and Supervise the office staff – including annual performance evaluations
- Embrace and promote the DOT compliance efforts
- Embrace and promote Technology to assist in the tracking of our assets, maintenance costs, payroll
- Work closely with the Asset Manager to make sure our fleet is current
- Uphold and promote the preventative maintenance initiative
- Be proactive regarding budget analysis income vs spending
- Promote the CSI Brand on our equipment and maintain standards
- Creative thinking to be as efficient as possible
- Maintain relationships with key vendors
- Maintain a profitable business unit within reason!

- Constant communication with the Operations groups in order to understand how we can improve as a team
- Influence the KCBU and NBU equipment/warehouse operations
- Participate in the company Strategic Planning efforts

Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements:
- 5-15 Years of Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- General knowledge of construction equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Proficient at leading a successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships
- Maintain a positive culture
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment.
