Job Summary:
CNPC USA is actively seeking creative, innovative, best-in-class experts to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a consultant with extensive hands-on experience in rotary steerable tool development. The consultant is responsible for directing the development and facilitating the commercialization of CNPC rotary steerable system.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with CNPC internal teams to optimize and commercialize rotary steerable system
- Perform evaluations and provide recommendations of improvement for existing CNPC rotary steerable tool
- Conduct design and performance analysis to improve rotary steerable tool’s reliability and manufacturability
- Develops strong relationships and maintains regular contact with supporting teams off-site.
- Prepares and communicates project status to customer and management
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience in rotary steerable tool mechanical design
- Extensive knowledge of performances, reliability, and applications of various rotary steerable systems in the market
- Strong background in commercializing rotary steerable tools
- Proven ability to deliver on time, on target, with quality and sustainability.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required
10+ years of experience in rotary steerable tool mechanical design
Legally authorized to work in the United States of America
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel:
This position may require up to 50% of international and domestic travel. Travel between all CNPC USA locations and testing facilities is required.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
