Job Summary:

Provides analysis, definition and recommendations to support Ocean Export, Air Export and Import Services improvements, efficiencies and business development. Provides analysis for projects, ad hoc studies, pricing and costing decisions, productivity assessment, process improvement, transition management and corporation training.

Essential Functions:

• Manage logistics and transportation issues to customers' satisfaction.
• Identify time or cost constrained shipments are managed to customer's satisfaction.
• Monitor trends in daily booking, re-booking, and pre-booking activities.
• Provide root cause and corrective action investigations to operational processes to minimize supply chain disruptions and identify opportunities for cost-saving / value creation.
• Liaise with the customer, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the ocean export process is lean and bottlenecks or performance issues are addressed.
• Support all functions of ocean export process from order creation to cargo delivery.
• Provide analytics-based approach to bookings management, routing guide conformance, operational metrics reporting, and process improvement.
• Manage the overall daily process for all shipments.
• Provide overall management of vendors in the value chain and prepare comprehensive output based on the received data output from each party.
• Provide an inbound receiving / outbound shipping schedule to key contacts, which will incorporate supply chain guidance fore receiving priorities.
• Execute time slot bookings with shipping/receiving locations, as necessary.
• Routinely follow-up with all carriers, agents, or contacts to ensure shipment delays are minimized.
• Assign and work directly with the contracted inland carrier.
• Publish the daily shipment visibility dashboard indicating shipments to KPI, highlighting delays, potential issues, and recommend actions to key business stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• The ideal candidate must have at least two (2) to three (3) years of operational experience.
• Understanding of supply chain and logistics is a plus.
• APICS CSCP Certification is a plus.
• Strong Excel Skills
• A college degree is preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
• The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
• Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
