Job description
As Controller for Premier Mortgage Resources (PMR), the ideal candidate will have proven industry experience in a Controller or Senior Accountant. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will make it your mission to streamline our Accounting and financial reporting processes. You will produce financial reports for Executive management to improve operational efficiency and aid in the continued growth of PMR. The Controller is a key role to enable the Company to be profitable, stable, and secure.

This position is located in Meridian Idaho.

Reports to: CFO
Salary Range: $135,000-$155,000 per year based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate staff
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and control all applicable accounting processes
  • Manage the accounting month-end close process, continuously improving processes to grow with organizational needs
  • Oversee the general Accounting, AR, AP, and daily processes and provide resolution of any issues discrepancies.
  • Complete financial reports on an accurate and timely basis, including cash flows and variance analyses.
  • Oversee reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Develop budgets and expense management controls•
  • Coordinate the completion of the annual audit and tax returns
  • Assess current processes and workflows and implement new processes (as needed) to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Organize, plan, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven, and constantly changing environment
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by the CFO
Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Controller or Senior-level accounting/finance manager
  • Experience in mortgage banking.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, CPA certificate preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office. AMB GL software a plus
  • Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills
