HVAC COUNTER SALES/INSIDE SALESPERSON

JOB SUMMARY

The HVAC counter person/inside salesperson contributes to company growth and profitability by assisting customer accounts at our branch. The counter person/inside sales will be responsible for prospecting for new accounts and growing existing accounts by uncovering additional sales opportunities, as well as, providing excellent customer support to our existing accounts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work together with Outside Sales associates to ensure our customer’s needs are met.
  • Updating customer orders, coordinate deliveries with the warehouse and answer sales calls for general inquires.
  • Represents MCN Distributors, as an industry leader and can understand and communicate what differentiates our business from the competition.
  • Take customer sales orders and provide timely quotations and accurate order processing.
  • Order items as necessary to fulfill customer orders.
  • Make some outbound calls to customers who are eligible for new promotions and follow up on potential sales.
  • Assisting with inventory management and stocking of the shelves.
  • Gaining knowledge of the products that we sell to our customers.
  • Actively participates in training either in house or events offered by our vendors.
  • Provide feedback on information pertinent to our business.

  • Technical expertise and knowledge of company products.

  • Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, etc.)

  • Able to also work independently with some direction.
  • Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED required;
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in similar position, Product/applications experience required, Wholesale distribution experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
