This position provides face to face crisis assessment and intervention to individuals in the Pinal County community who are experiencing behavioral health crises. Horizon provides mobile crisis teams 7 days/week 365 days/year. HHW is seeking qualified candidates available to work varied shifts/schedules based on department needs and staff availability. The shifts are 10-hour shifts with various shift days and times. On-Call staff should be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Management will provide schedule of open shifts for staff to sign up for per month and contact staff for emergency shift needs. Shift times consist of: Casa Grande Area - 7 days per week 5 am - 3 pm, 11 am - 9 pm, 8 pm - 6 am AND Apache Junction area 7 days per week 5 am - 3 pm, 12 pm - 10 pm, 2 pm - 12 am.

We are currently looking for qualified candidates to work within our Apache Junction, Maricopa, Casa Grande or Florence locations.

Qualifications

• Education & behavioral health work experience:
  • BA/BS in Psychology or BH/medical related field and 1 year of behavioral health experience OR
  • BA/BS in non-behavioral health related field and 3 years behavioral health work experience OR
  • H.S. diploma and 6 years of behavioral health work experience
• Ability to remain calm and engage individuals in a crisis situation
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders including teachers, school personnel, police, first responders and hospital staff
• Demonstrated experience in providing assessment and clinical services to individuals experiencing behavioral health issues
• Understanding of substance use disorder signs and symptoms
• Demonstrated ability to document behavioral health services in a patient record
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check with Pinal County Sheriff’s department
• Possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record and reliable transportation.

Horizon Health & Wellness provides extensive training for Crisis Specialists including suicide assessment, referral resources, crisis intervention and treatment planning, in-home safety, crisis de-escalation skills, critical incident debriefing, CPR/First Aid and more.
