POSITION SUMMARY
Recruits and provides a range of employment related services to Senior Meal Program (SMP) participants within the agency policies and program; Assesses service needs, develops service plans, and evaluates the effectiveness of services given to customers under the supervision of the Adult Employment Coordinator.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruits, enrolls and provides career consultation to SMP participants; meets or contacts individuals for assessment and enrollment procedural services.
- Collaborates with Employment Counselors on Culinary Training Program participant enrollment and transition to SMP.
- Meets SMP participants on a regular basis, and documents case notes promptly.
- Enters all necessary data into Salesforce, Career Connect and/or ECM or similar Client Management System (CMS).
- Prepares SMP participants for job interviews; Helps them create professional resumes. Works closely with CTP VESL Instructor in planning and conducting pre-employment/pre-vocational training for SMP participants.
- Identifies appropriate employment opportunities for SMP participants.
- Provides placement services for SMP graduates and follow-up services to both placed graduates as well as employers.
- Works closely with CTP instructors to maintain prospective employer contacts.
- Takes the lead in the development and maintenance of up-to-date SMP records.
- Participates in the consultation with instructional and other service staff members for coordination of each customer’s overall service plan.
- Interprets agency policies and services to individuals or community groups.
- Prepares report and performs record keeping functions required by the agency.
- Completes accurately and in a timely fashion all necessary forms, such as statistical reports for funders, etc.
- Enter all client efforts and case notes into CASL’s Salesforce database system.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work, business or related human service fields and at least 1 year of experience in human service or workforce development
- Or Associate’s degree or equivalent in social work, business or related human service field with at least 3 years of experience in human service or workforce development
- Or High School diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of experience in human service or workforce development.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Chinese. Cantonese is necessary, Mandarin and Toishanese is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office usage and other applications is preferred.
- Basic end-user level understanding and experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to bend and lift a minimum of 15 pounds.
- Required to frequently sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
Environment and Scheduling:
- Normal schedule to work from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
