Job description
This position provides individual and group instruction to offenders at the Nottoway Correctional Center to help students complete the required competencies in Custodial Maintenance Sanitation. Successful candidate will maintain classroom/lab, equipment, and inventories; ensure compliance with all DOC regulations; maintain accurate records and submit timely reports; and manage and supervises aides and students in classroom.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Knowledge of all phases of the Custodial Maintenance & Sanitation trade area; skill in use of PC and various software; ability to provide individual and group instruction; ability to discuss individual student assessment; and ability to manage classroom activities.
The selected candidate must have five years of experience with three years of verifiable experience the trade area during the past five years. Must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License and be eligible for an industry certification credential in Custodial Services.

The selected candidate must have five years of experience with three years of verifiable experience the trade area during the past five years. Must possess or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License and be eligible for an industry certification credential in Custodial Services.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer prior teaching experience. Prefer experience working in a correctional or alternative environment.
