MUST:

Be able to work around 3-5 year-old children in a school setting
Be able to work outside (mowing, maintaining grounds)
Be able to work quickly and quietly when children are sleeping
Be able to work independently and as a team
Be able to lift 50-70 pounds

Maintain floors throughout the building by sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, etc. when applicable. Routine floor care should be done on a daily basis. Strip and apply wax on an as needed basis

Dust all rooms daily and use proper polish for care as needed

Ensure restrooms are sanitary throughout the day

Empty trash daily from the building with proper sanitary disposal in accordance with health ordinances

Perform light maintenance as required

Maintain Campus building and grounds in an appropriate manner according to the Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing requirements

Assist with loading and unloading of food and other supplies

Familiar with all equipment and its usage, including the proper and safe maintenance of the equipment

Report major maintenance problems to Campus Director and/or administrative office in a timely manner

Bus transport children to and from school and other locations (field trips) as assigned

Develop an awareness of the various component areas of the Head Start Program Performance Standards

Participate in pre-service and in-service trainings, staff meetings and other staff development activities

Other duties as assigned
