As our client base continues to expand, Genuine Cable Group (GCG) is looking for a Customer Service Representative to support our Inside Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers over the phone and via electronic inquiries, entering customer orders and quotes into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, sourcing products and pricing, and assisting the inside sales staff with other tasks.

The hours for this position are 8:00am-5:00pm M-F, with an hour for lunch. We offer a starting pay rate of around $16-17/hr based on experience, plus full benefits. GCG has two locations in Rochester Hills, MI. This position is located at our Austin Ave facility: 2119 Austin Ave, Rochester Hills, MI 48309.

What you’ll do

• Enter customer quotes into our ERP system; obtain correct part numbers and pricing and ensure the correct accounts are used
• Process customer orders over the phone, fax, email, and chat and advise customers on the status of their order using our CRM database to enter notes
• Receive inbound customer calls throughout the day
• Provide administrative support to outside sales staff as needed
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with Customers and Suppliers

What you’ll bring

• 1 to 2 years of previous customer service representative/office experience preferred but not required; will happily train a candidate that is eager to learn
• Familiarity with MS Office & Excel
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
