The Operations Trainer develops a wide variety of training programs and materials to support the Claims, Call Center, and Enrollment teams. The trainer researches, develops, and facilitates in house training courses for new and existing employees. Develops training competency tools that will ensure the quality, consistency and timeliness of department activities. Maintains and updates training materials, job aids, and online resources as needed.

Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Designs and delivers training programs in a variety of settings, including but not limited to classroom, one-on-one coaching sessions, webinars, and on-line courses
- Obtains training needs and direction from management ensuring the consistency of information across departments and other functional areas
- Executes the development, implementation, and revisions of training and education initiatives including working with the department managers and supervisors to identify gaps in workflows, process and procedures and other training resources
- Collaborates with department managers and supervisors to evaluate quality assurance results, discern trends, and identify opportunities for training improvement
- Utilizes quality assurance results and trends to effectively create/update training materials and courses to meet individual/department needs
- Assesses trainee performance and shares feedback with department managers and supervisors
- Monitors and evaluates the quality and effectiveness of training courses delivered
Supervision Received:
- Direct supervision is received weekly or as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, related field, or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 5 years related experience
Experience:
- 5+ years of related training or equivalent work experience is required
- Working knowledge of Managed Care Operations including basic understanding of Claims processing and Customer Service functions with application of Quality Improvement concepts, practices, and procedures is required
Certification or Conditions of Employment:
- Pre-employment background check
Competencies, Skills, and Attributes:
- Comprehensive knowledge of training program design and delivery is required
- Effective collaborative and proven process improvement skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge and experience in working with training tools (i.e. Captivate, SnagIt, Camtasia, Docutools, Information Mapping)
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects
- Detail oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the position
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
- No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk
