Position Summary: The primary result expected from the Cutter Operator will be setting up and operating a cutting machine. The Cutter Operator will monitor materials and supplies, resolve assembly problems, participate in our quality control process, and complete preventative maintenance requirements. The Cutter Operator must communicate with co-workers and supervisors to solve process and product problems and accurately record production information.

Relevant Job Experience: Previous production experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Relevant Skills: Enter specific job skills required
Physical Requirements: Primarily plant environment
NOTE: Plant environment is climate controlled and may include, on some occasion, exposure to heat, noise and odors.
Other: Ability to use computer based programs to read and review work instructions and procedures.
Language: Ability to read, speak and comprehend English is required

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not intended to be all inclusive):
1. Set up and operating a cutting machine.
2. Verify product quality using established standards, specifications and work instructions.
3. Record various production and quality data.
4. Packages and labels product to established work instructions.
5. Acquires, moves and maintains stores of components and materials required in cell.
6. Moves finish product to designated locations.
7. Follows all applicable safety, quality and manufacturing standards.
8. Actively participates in applicable lean, safety, and other employee involvement activities.
9. Completes any required TPM in the cell.
10. Assists in other areas as required.
11. Strive to continuously improve processes, communications, and efficiencies.
12. Be an example of the ‘Dowco Values’ in and outside of the workplace.
