Cycle Fitness Class Instructor Longmont YMCA
Job description
The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for motivated individual who is passionate about cycling and helping people reach their fitness goals to join our cycling instructor community in Longmont.
Instruct members and non-members on proper positioning on the bike. Prepare and lead fun, motivating class and promote YMCA values caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Communicate any concerns about the bikes, sound system or space.
Requirements/Certifications:
- Have current nationally recognized Group Cycling Certification (Schwinn preferred).
- National certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction OR YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise within 6 months of hire.
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification or obtain certification within the first 60 days of hire and maintain current certification thereafter.
- At least one year of experience teaching group exercise classes preferred.
Salary range is $18-30/hour based on experience and availability. We offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English).This position is part time.
All YMCA of Northern Colorado part-time staff working 10+ hours each week are eligible to receive a free family membership. Staff who work 10+ hours a week earn 50% to 100% off our programs. That includes free YMCA traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate and swim lessons, and half off YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, specialty summer camps, and childcare. If you work 20+ hours a week, your benefits grow from there. Sick time is earned from day 1, and we make contributions of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund for eligible staff.
