DIVISION DIRECTOR
Children, Youth, Family and Transitional Age Youth (CYFTAY) Services
The CYFTAY division offers an array of services to 700 low-income at-risk clients with multiple challenges and abilities: children birth to 13 years old, transitional age youth, pregnant parenting teens and youth in the foster care system. Families: including low income, immigrant, monolingual and homeless populations. The CYFTAY offers multidisciplinary programs across San Francisco including Early Care and Education, Early Intervention & Inclusion, Family Support, and Mental Health services.

Position Overview
Reporting to the COO, the Division Director is a key strategic leader and entrepreneurial partner responsible for advancing the divisions’ growth, financial management and internal operational strategy. The Division Director is a lead position in designing and leading the divisions’ operational support systems to accomplish the mission of the organization. He/she will be responsible for leading operational strategy and innovation, be charged with developing and implementing increasingly efficient administrative policies and procedures in both the programming and general operational realms.

Areas of focus:
  • Act as a strategic business partner with the COO and Business Development Department providing input on existing programming, new business development, financial operations, analysis, budgeting, program evaluation and policy matters.
  • Formulate strategic plans to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward new partnerships and funders with the purpose of growing existing revenue sources, creating new revenue opportunities and replicating core service areas in other counties.
  • Mentor and develop staff (within and across programs) using a supportive and collaborative strength-based approach, assigning accountabilities, setting objectives, establishing priorities, and monitoring and evaluating results.
  • Direct operations, support organizational goals, priorities and requirements set forth by the funders/ regulatory agencies.
  • Develop, monitor divisional budgets, and ensure programs fully earn contract revenue and meet/exceed deliverables. Budget management and maximizing resource allocations
Experience and Requirements
  • Programmatic, financial, and operational experience leading and managing publicly funded early care and education, early intervention & inclusion, and family support services for children birth to 13 years old, and their families.
  • Experience managing small and large grants/ contracts, budgets of similar size and complexity ($13mm)
  • Knowledge of funders, services and agencies in San Francisco, and larger Bay Area.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and executing innovative, culturally responsive programs for underserved populations.
  • Experience forging strategic partnerships to advance the agencies services and impact.
