Data Analyst

Description:

Our client is one of nation’s largest casualty, commercial, corporate services insurance companies who is going through significant transformation, including recently spinning off some of its business units. Insurance data experience is not required, but is highly preferred. The data office has recently hired a head of enterprise information architecture, and he will be leveraging this team to stand up good practices, and identify & enforce patterns and practices that he wants to ensure become enterprise standards and playbooks

• Specialists at analyzing data models, data in databases, data profiles, etc., to understand, map, and make recommendations about the data. Useful on project to do things like identify unique, common, and overlapping data and make recommendations about what data is gapped, what data is higher quality than similar data sets, etc. Also useful at documenting, socializing, and working with senior team members to achieve buy-off on reference architectures, architectural principles, patterns, and other foundational items.
• Excellent communicators, collaborative, open to feedback with minimal ego, and great critical thinkers.
• These specialists will represent enterprise information architecture on critical enterprise projects, with the expectation that they will work well on those teams. They will also have a second hat on, which is to codify the practices that are occurring on those project into enterprise practices, and to help build the enterprise information architecture playbook as things move along.
• One of these Specialists would be deployed on the client’s digital transformation program, in which the entire client experience is being redesigned from scratch.
• The other Specialist would be deployed on the global data warehouse program, to help examine data sets at a detailed level and determine what an appropriate integration of legacy databases would entail and recommend roadmap of data assets to meet business goals.
• Expertise with Snowflake is preferred.
