Little Treehouse Early Learning Center is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Early Childhood Education Teacher to work primarily with a specific child. You would shadow the child during their time in our care, encouraging them to follow routines, schedules and to participate in activities. You will provide positive guidance and assistance with problem solving, as well as building classroom management skills.

Ongoing training, classroom materials and curriculum are provided to assist you with your job. Within 30 days of hire you will also be required to complete an online 2-hour Agri-Life class as outlined during the hiring process.

The ideal candidate will meet the following:

Provide an active role model by leading and participating in moderate to vigorous physical activities with and for the children

Love children and have a desire to make a difference every day.

Maintain a professional, caring, and friendly attitude.

Be an outstanding communicator with rapport-building skills.

Minimum of two years experience working with children is preferred.

Have a desire to work in a drama-free environment.

Bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Salary DOE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
