Job description

Our general dental practice is looking for a full time licensed dental assistant with experience. It is a small but busy office with long term friendly staff and one doctor. If you are looking for a family oriented practice then this is the office for you. We are looking for a competent and efficient dental assistant who is well versed with all aspects of general dentistry ranging from small fillings to surgical extractions. Dental assistant should be well-organized with great attention to detail.

The position is available immediately. Compensation is based on experience and it includes paid holidays, vacation, bonus, retirement plan and profit sharing.

Work week is 4 days (M, Tu, Th & F). Parking is available on-site.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in the dental office
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

• Proven experience as dental assistant
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
• Good computer skills

• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable

COVID-19 considerations:
All recommended PPE (N95, facesheilds, gowns, head covers, glasses). Additionally we have installed air purification units, high vacuum evacuation systems, longer appointments, patient screening & temperature checks. Office follows strict OSHA guidelines.
