The DI Operator performs imaging procedures by applying ionizing radiation for an accurate diagnosis. This position will provide both inpatient and outpatient services. This position is casual, working 0-39 hours per two weeks, Day/Evening shifts and weekends as needed.

About this unit:
Fairview Range is seeking an X-Ray Operator to join our Diagnostic Imaging team as a Diagnostic Imaging Operator in Hibbing, MN. With imaging services at Fairview Range Medical Center and the Fairview Mesaba clinics, we serve patients in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. We provide a vast array of imaging services including x-ray, CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy, and pain management, as well as ultrasound and nuclear medicine.

- Multidisciplinary care team including Radiologic Technicians, Medical Imaging Assistants, RNs, and Radiologists.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Performs quality Diagnostic Imaging procedures with accuracy and competency.
- Operates equipment using proper technical factors while providing radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Ensures the procedure is explained to the patient prior to the exam.
- Assures care of the physical and psychological needs of the patient by maintaining proper positioning and transferring techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensure equipment is warmed up and in proper working order.
- Ensures x-ray table and equipment are cleaned on a daily routine basis.
- Must have passed the State of MN x-ray operators test.
