HonorHealth is a non-profit, local community healthcare system serving an area of 1.6 million people in the greater Phoenix area. The network encompasses six acute-care hospitals, an extensive medical group, outpatient surgery centers, a cancer care network, clinical research, medical education, a foundation, and community services with approximately 13,100 team members, 3,500 affiliated providers and nearly 700 volunteers. Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Digital Communications Specialist and Community Events Coordinator is responsible for organizing, populating, auditing, and maintaining online content, along with supporting community outreach events for HonorHealth Research Institute. This includes managing and posting content and multimedia assets for Research Institute-owned webpages, newsletters, and social media platforms, in addition to providing community events support.

The successful candidate is skilled in digital communications best practices and has a demonstrated history of developing, managing, editing, tracking, uploading and publishing content across platforms including social media, website, and newsletter distribution.

Working collaboratively with researchers and staff, the Digital Communications Specialist and Community Events Coordinator will plan, promote, and post engaging content for HonorHealth Research Institute-owned websites, social media accounts, newsletters, and community events.

The Office of Communications at HonorHealth Research Institute is located at the Shea campus in Scottsdale. The Digital Communications Specialist and Community Events Coordinator position can be in person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the organization and successful applicant.

Proactively develop, manage, edit, track, upload and publish content across HonorHealth Research Institute’s digital platforms including social media, website, and newsletter distribution.
Work in a Content Management System to develop, deliver, and track newsletters.
Maintain design assets (logos, images, graphics, video uploads).
Track website analytics to analyze performance and provide direction regarding optimal user experience and conversion across all digital platforms.
Edit and publish engaging content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
Conduct an ongoing search of external websites to improve Research Institute listings.
Manage ongoing audits of the Research Institute website to ensure it is correct and current.
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and submission of content on corresponding platforms.
Monitor and manage the organization’s online reputation and provide oversight of social media and website edits to promote a positive online brand reputation to the public.
Seek opportunities to apply new and innovative approaches to reaching target audiences and inspiring brand awareness and recommend adjustments to achieve success.
Create, implement, and manage a social media strategy including regular monitoring, scheduling, posting, reporting and management.

Support coordination of community outreach events at the Research Institute.
Attend assigned in person meetings and events.
Work with internal and external partners to ensure event messaging is approved and proactively shared.
Track metrics to show engagement, reach and growth opportunities and develops recommendations for improvement.
Manage the website auditing process to ensure brand compliance and content is updated.
Practices professionalism and accountability.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with researchers, staff, and stakeholders.
Maintains calendar of community event efforts and posts activities on websites, newsletters, and social media.
Follows Associated Press (AP) as well as organization style guide in composing and posting digital content.
Follow and monitor competitive brands to ensure we remain distinctive in our markets.

Provide backup support to other team members, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree in journalism, digital, communications, equivalent degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional experience required. Required
