Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems is seeking to hire an IDD Direct Support Professional Residential
Position specifics: FT/PT, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift; weekend & holiday shifts also available.
Locations: Lancaster, PA
Program: IDD, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
The IDD Direct Support Professional Residential provides direct services to individuals living in Agency Residential Programs (Including Respite Services), In-Home Support Programs (Community Habilitation / Companion Services) and Supported-Employment Programs. Services vary by program and include life-skills teaching and assistance; work-skills teaching and assistance; promotion of social and recreational activities; and identification, linkage, and coordination of resources.
Role Description: In this role the IDD Direct Support Professional Residential will help each individual reach a maximum level of self-sufficiency through individualized interventions according to the Principles of Everyday Lives.
Interventions are based on the ISP developed collaboratively with individuals. IDD Direct Support Professional in residential programs are based at program sites where they interact with individuals on a one-to-one and group basis. IDD Direct Support Professional Residential In- Home Supports and Supported-Employment Programs provide services through face-to-face contacts in the home or identified community settings, or by telephone.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide services as defined by the program description, Principles of Every Days Lives
- Develop and implement service plans as per program description.
- Develop and maintain linkages with adjunct providers to coordinate services.
- Monitor effectiveness of service delivery based on outcome measures, including Quality
- As needed, make changes to own service delivery to improve outcomes.
- Provide instruction and hands-on support to promote development of skills identified in the ISP.
- Identify resources which are accessible and beneficial to individuals and encourage their utilization.
- Identify and report opportunities for recreational activities for individuals.
- Identify and report additional resources.
- Maintain accurate records of billable services provided and submit records in a timely manner
- Provide services as dictated by individuals and program needs, per ISP.
- Support individuals in maintaining healthy relationships and resolving conflicts.
- Provide backup for other staff working in the program.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Ability to work as part of a team. Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency’s insurance carrier and by Agency policy. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. CPR/FIRST AID TRAINING REQUIRED
Certifications Required: Must be able to complete and pass ODP Medication Administration Course for those working in residential programs.
Required Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance, Criminal clearance, and fingerprint based federal criminal history; Child Abuse Clearance if working with individuals under 18 years of age Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Holcomb offers a generous benefit package to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Benefits are available the first day of a new month after completing 30 days of employment. Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision are included. Paid holidays in addition to earned paid time off, 403(B) with company match, and 1 year salary of life insurance is available as well. Some benefits are available to employees working between 25-29 hours per week.
