Lead and gives support and direction for initiatives that develop Sales Strategies and Promotional Plans across all territories and all business lines. Responsible for controlling and maintaining the budget of the unit and reporting any event of interest. Responsible for direct supervision of the promotional area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Leads integration of sales efforts with MCS Foundation partners and nonprofit organizations to increase sales and improve membership retention
  • Responsible for controlling and maintaining the budget assigned, request different invoices among our suppliers, report any situation of interest, monthly discuss of the budget status with the Business Outreach AVP
  • Development of unit politics, procedures and business cases needed
  • Manages the allocated vs. invested budget for each initiative and presents a monthly budget recap to measure results vs. investment while evaluating the costs and effectiveness of the initiatives.
  • Addresses and solves any situation that directly or indirectly impacts event issues and areas related to the Commercial, Corporate, Providers, and MCS Employee lines of business.
  • Ensures that files are up to date with the necessary documents (i.e., invoices, proposals, letters, event checklists) for each initiative per month.
  • Evaluates our participation in each sponsorship, gives recommendations.
  • Selects pieces and promotional items, identifies regional needs, gives suggestions. In charge of inventory of material with the Unit Manager and supervise the distribution of the material for the regions, AI and other channels as needed.
  • Participates in special projects, external and internal meetings, or activities on behalf of the company or department, as requested
  • Manage staff and support the development of program goals and objectives, defining performance metrics, monitoring progress, reporting on results, and analyzing capacity building
  • Recommends and suggest sales strategies in all Puerto Rico territory.
  • Helps and assists the manager with the Regional Promotional Plans to maximize POS productivity
  • Supervises, monitors, trains, evaluates, and corrects personnel among others to comply with his/her role as a supervisor, to assure that his/her personnel fulfill their work plan and comply with their essential functions, and that they behave in accordance with the policies, standards, norms, and procedures of the Company
  • Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations. Minimum five (5) years performing similar jobs, POS negotiations or Public Relations efforts with business accounts and clients.

“Proven experience may be replaced by previously established requirements”.

Certifications / Licenses: Active driver’s license of PR is required.

Other: Complete understanding of sales process. Own car in good conditions.
