Responsibilities
- Oversees enrollment management strategies and goals for Mercy College, Develops and implements a comprehensive plan for student retention, recruitment and admissions. Collaborates with Financial Aid to develop and implement strategic financial aid strategy and policies in support of enrollment management strategies.
- Develops admission’s organizational strategies by providing information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction; establishing objectives in line with Mercy College objectives.
- Ensures a steady flow of quality applicants and transfers to the College by analyzing trends in enrollment and marketing activities, presenting new sales strategies for recruitment and admission activities. Collaborates with Marketing in management of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Hires, develops, trains and motivates staff to ensure optimal performance. Provides regular feedback, including the annual performance evaluation.
- Provides oversight for new student orientation and enrollment, ensuring students’ academic needs are met.
- Develops and monitors reports to enhance recruitment strategies, yield management, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
- Develops effective working relationships with other departments; working closely with Provost, Deans, Program Chairs, Marketing, and leadership to enhance recruitment.
- Assists in preparation of the yearly operating budget for the enrollment management office.
- Ensures students’ academic needs are met by providing oversight for academic advising operations and student matriculation.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, or related field.
- Five years’ experience in recruiting, marketing, human resources or student admissions.
- Two years demonstrated leadership and/or management experience supervising professional staff.
- Demonstrated experience in enrollment management.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing recruitment or marketing initiatives utilizing information analysis to achieve organizational objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
