• A Bachelor's degree; Masters’ degree in a business or healthcare-related field strongly preferred
  
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience of hospital management experience
• Experience in Perioperative or Procedural Services highly preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois preferred
  
• Strong knowledge of expense reduction strategies, financial performance measurement, forecasting, and budgeting
• Knowledge of capital acquisition process and skilled in decision making for strategic investments & ROI analysis
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated leadership qualities, and record of related accomplishments
• Knowledge of Operating Room billing procedures
• Sterile processing and logistics knowledge
• Knowledge of purchasing and supply distribution procedures
• AORN certification, CPPS, or other national certification

• Visability reporting to the Vice President of Operations, and will collaborate with ACNO, Director of Finance and CFO, and the COO-to provide operational, administrative and financial direction for the hospital’s operating rooms and procedural areas.
• Ability to provide Leadership using LEAN process redesign and improvement, workflow and logistics analysis, revenue enhancement, cost reduction and control, capital budgeting, and operations budgeting.

• Develop, implement, and monitor improvements to internal departmental operations including instrument processing and logistics, supply utilization, labor utilization, patient flow, and ancillary department support.
• Assure compliance with regulatory bodies.
• Command and facility with the application of AORN standards
• Identify benchmarked operating standards where efficiencies can be obtained, studies, and implements such operational changes.
• Influence external departments to implement workflow changes that result in service improvements and cost reductions.
• Develop, interpret, and achieve departmental goals through active participation in committee work and task force assignments as needed.
• Identify issues, present strategies, and act as a change agent.
• Build relationships with essential services to provide additional process, analytical and technology support.
• Plan for capital acquisition and facility planning, participates in economic payback and supports operational efficacy evaluation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor budget within established guidelines also manages project planning and scheduling.
• Monitor and report on deliverables and milestones as defined in the project schedule, view status in light of goals and re-prioritize activities as needed.
• Establish plans for long and short-term provision of supplies and equipment to meet the needs of the patient care and administrative activities while demonstrating cost-conscious decision-making in collaboration with medical staff on selection, use and control of equipment and supplies.
• Create strong partnerships with internal partners and external vendors and providers.
• Ensure accuracy of financial and other program data.
